  QUALIFYING CRITERIA
 
 
 

To qualify for a Guarantee issued by Deposit Advantage you must be able to demonstrate at the time of your application that funds will be available. You can do this using any of the acceptable evidence of funds below.

Evidence of Funds Documents Required
Proceeds from the sale of property Property must be sold already or must be a linked transaction, for example, the purchaser has sold another property and the proceeds of that sale, or part thereof, are being used to pay the purchase price of the new property to be purchased.
Accessing your mortgage bond Provide a recent mortgage statement or letter from the financial institution confirming that the client's equity in the property which he/she is using as acceptable evidence of funds is accessible, what amount is accessible and whether draw-downs may be made.
Bank accounts Provide a 3 month bank statement showing the applicant's name, the account number, the balance available, the date and the financial institution's logo. Internet statements are not acceptable.
Unit trusts Provide a unit trust statement showing the applicant's name, the account number, the balance available, the date and the financial institution's logo. Internet statements are not acceptable.
Shares For listed shares, provide a portfolio summary showing the applicant's name, the account number, the balance available, the date and the financial institution's logo. Internet statements are not acceptable.

For unlisted shares, provide a certified copy of the Share Certificate and the underlying Financial Statements.
Retirement Funds (Pension, Provident & Retirement Annuity) Provide a letter from the fund confirming the amount available and the date it will be paid.
Divorce settlement Provide a court stamped copy of the divorce settlement together with evidence (deed of sale, loan approval) that the payment can be completed.
Donations The donor must be an immediate family member (ie. mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister). The donor must complete a Suretyship and Indemnity and confirm evidence (bank statement, loan approval etc.) that they have the ability to complete the donation.
